A new chapter

I've loved this blog but I feel that it is time to be more creative.
That is why I am starting a creations blog and that is where I will be blogging from now on.
I thank you for the great comments and support you have all given me and hope you continue on with me and my growth.

A toast....

To the friends that are here and afar off, to the fights we may and may not have had. To sorrow, anger and laughter we have had over the years. Here's to the friends and family in my life who have always been there for me. I am sorry if I have ever been to busy or have hurt you, cause truly it was not meant to come off that way. Here's to inside jokes and confusion, misunderstanding and acknowledgement. Here's a glass (of cider) to comrades from the past, present and future. To those who are no longer in my life because of the choices we had to make, that led us to different roads. Here's to the future and to a hope of happiness, for those I know and will know. I raise my glass to friends, family and happiness for the future.
(P.S. I was always told to live in the moment through my eyes, not through a camera lens so unfortunately I do not have as many pictures as I would have liked)

Chy Tea Designs

One of the things I do to relax from the days work is to make jewelry. My aunt Carrie asked me the other day if I would make her a necklace with purple. The first picture is of Carrie's necklace and matching earrings the others are for you to see and admire. Leave comments telling me what you like and don't like.

This is a necklace that I made for my mum.

These are more green but the camera wouldn't catch the color.

Shawna ,Me and....

And this is Matt Dusk and I !!!!
For fun my aunt Shawna and I went to the Matt Dusk concert at the community college. We were the youngest people in the whole place. I didn't know what to think but then Matt started to sing and even though I had heard some of his stuff before coming, it was better in person. I do have to say that all of his recordings sound just like him in person, that should tell you something about the quality of his voice that they don't have to tweak it at all.
After the show he was out signing albums and talking to everyone who came, Shawna saw her chance and asked for a photo, he said yes and to my surprise she pushed me forward!
After, us three were joking about how he had brought the rain and snow from Canada with him, he then told us that he was not joking when he said that he had only packed shorts for the next few weeks and that that was all!
This was such an amazing and fun experience and I would have paid double to see it.

P.S. We were in row C, seats 9 and 10.

Photo Scavenger Hunt

I didn't post last weeks photo scavenger hunt because we couldn't find the camera anywhere! It of course was in a safe place where it wouldn't be touched by Thayne. This weeks subject is color. Those who know me well know that I am all about color in my life and in my creations.
Here is a picture I took of the library mural.

A much needed post

I have been waiting for the right time to sit down and post this very happy thing.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is my new car!

It's not perfect but I wasn't looking for perfect, I was looking for something that ran, has heat and would fit three passengers. I also didn't want to pay a small fortune for something. I saw this Toyota Celica and my first thought was," this is far to showy." I kept looking at it though and knew that it was exactly what I needed and at the price I wanted. The part about it being a convertible is only a plus. The thing I am having a problem with is that it isn't a stick shift. I really like it and it's fun to drive though.

Wave if you see me driving!

In your hands

This is a poem that was read to me by my Mum yesterday, it really rang true to what I know to be true. I know that if you read it you will be as touched as I was. Thank you Tammy for posting on your blog for me to hear.

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Mark McGuire's hands is worth $19 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
A tennis racket in Venus Williams' hands is a championship winning.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A rod in my hands will keep away a wild animal.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A sling shot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A sling shot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it's in.

2 fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
2 fish and 5 loaves of bread in God's hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it's in.
As you see now, it depends on whose hands it's in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your family, and your relationships in God's hands because.....It depends whose hands it's in.

No words to describe this feeling

I haven't posted for a while because of a few reasons, this though is one of those things that if you don't say something then you will be condemned for it in the next life.

It started with a very cold morning and as we drove and the sun came over the mountains it became warm enough that we could take off our jackets. The Valley has the perfect weather in winter!
First stop was to take Nana to the airport. Then we had time before the main event was to take place, so we went to the Scottsdale Fashion mall where I am still in awe of how BIG it is. I think that my new favorite store is Sophora. Not only do you get to put everything on but they give you make-up remover so you can start over again. It was such a pity that we only had 20 minutes in there because I think I could have spent all the spare time we had plus some. Also Anthropology is amazing! the website doesn't do it justice. Then running out of time we got to the one and only Chihuly glass art exhibit in Arizona! It's in Desert Botanical Gardens and was so breath taking that Mum started to cry and I was drooling with awe. For those that don't know who Dale Chihuly is there is his site. I've taken a glass blowing class and Chihuly is my hero! The exhibit will only be there till May and I think that I my want to go again before then. I truly have no words to tell how this made me feel because I have only dreamed of seeing his work since when I first started studying about glass. The time you take in making one piece is alone is......

Here are some of my favorite pictures of the glass,
I don't think I have a favorite piece.
