Photo Scavenger Hunt

I didn't post last weeks photo scavenger hunt because we couldn't find the camera anywhere! It of course was in a safe place where it wouldn't be touched by Thayne. This weeks subject is color. Those who know me well know that I am all about color in my life and in my creations.
Here is a picture I took of the library mural.

A much needed post

I have been waiting for the right time to sit down and post this very happy thing.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is my new car!

It's not perfect but I wasn't looking for perfect, I was looking for something that ran, has heat and would fit three passengers. I also didn't want to pay a small fortune for something. I saw this Toyota Celica and my first thought was," this is far to showy." I kept looking at it though and knew that it was exactly what I needed and at the price I wanted. The part about it being a convertible is only a plus. The thing I am having a problem with is that it isn't a stick shift. I really like it and it's fun to drive though.

Wave if you see me driving!

In your hands

This is a poem that was read to me by my Mum yesterday, it really rang true to what I know to be true. I know that if you read it you will be as touched as I was. Thank you Tammy for posting on your blog for me to hear.

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Mark McGuire's hands is worth $19 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
A tennis racket in Venus Williams' hands is a championship winning.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A rod in my hands will keep away a wild animal.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A sling shot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A sling shot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it's in.

2 fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
2 fish and 5 loaves of bread in God's hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it's in.
As you see now, it depends on whose hands it's in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your family, and your relationships in God's hands because.....It depends whose hands it's in.

No words to describe this feeling

I haven't posted for a while because of a few reasons, this though is one of those things that if you don't say something then you will be condemned for it in the next life.

It started with a very cold morning and as we drove and the sun came over the mountains it became warm enough that we could take off our jackets. The Valley has the perfect weather in winter!
First stop was to take Nana to the airport. Then we had time before the main event was to take place, so we went to the Scottsdale Fashion mall where I am still in awe of how BIG it is. I think that my new favorite store is Sophora. Not only do you get to put everything on but they give you make-up remover so you can start over again. It was such a pity that we only had 20 minutes in there because I think I could have spent all the spare time we had plus some. Also Anthropology is amazing! the website doesn't do it justice. Then running out of time we got to the one and only Chihuly glass art exhibit in Arizona! It's in Desert Botanical Gardens and was so breath taking that Mum started to cry and I was drooling with awe. For those that don't know who Dale Chihuly is there is his site. I've taken a glass blowing class and Chihuly is my hero! The exhibit will only be there till May and I think that I my want to go again before then. I truly have no words to tell how this made me feel because I have only dreamed of seeing his work since when I first started studying about glass. The time you take in making one piece is alone is......

Here are some of my favorite pictures of the glass,
I don't think I have a favorite piece.
