200 plus pages more

'Testament of youth' By Vera Brittain.
I didn't think I was going to post tonight but then my dad told me that I should just 'write it all out'.
I'm in the process of reading a 600 page book about world war I. It starts out as easy reading for the first 270 pages then you start hitting the hard stuff. I just finished reading about the death of yet another good friend of Vera's, who is the main character and author of the book. Yes, this is an auto biography, which makes it even harder to read this book. This women lost first her fiance,Roland, then her best friends,Geoffrey and Victor. I know that it is going to get worse because her brother is going to die next. I think the worst thing so far is when they are burying Victor, her brother couldn't get leave to say goodbye and he writes Vera saying,"We started alone, dear child, and here we are alone again; you find me changed, I expect, more than I find you; that is perhaps the way of Life. But we share a memory which is worth all the rest of the world, and the sun of that memory never sets."
Her brother, Victor and Roland where as everyone called them the three musketeers and her brother had to watch his best friends die and he was completely alone before the time came when he left the world. Vera lost everything that mattered to her and yet she still endured and went back to serve all the men in the army who needed her. I don't know if I could do that.

No Thursdays

I have already talked to one family about this but to those who read this and hire me this is what is going on, I'm not going to work Thursdays.
No one in particular has called me for this day but I really need this it's so I can do things with my family, friends, school, etc. I worked every day(except Sunday) for the last month and a half. I'm more then worn out and in need of a superpower to keep me going if I am to continue like that. So please for my sanity, no Thursdays.

Temple

One thing I love about the temple is that every time I do confirmations I can just see all the souls in heaven rejoicing over that one little thing. Something that we take for granted and just count off, or at least that is the way I used to think of it when I was a Beehive.
Another thing that really struck me today was how quiet the temple really is from all the other places in this world. You will always hear the traffic all around it but other then that it is the truest kind of quiet, It's spiritually quiet. I could really feel all the peace of mind and spirit there and that is something that I don't feel very much anymore, I always am thinking of the things I need to do next. I really felt like I was the only person there. I was looking out on half the grounds and there was no one else around me or in sight. I am so happy that I live within driving distance of a temple and that there are going to be three more in this state.
I really started thinking about time today and how we let it go so fast without even realizing it. Thank you Beehives for being good in the temple and really showing me a bit of how I felt when it was my first time. You all were really excited and happy to go into the temple and learn about something that you'll do again and again in the future. They were all so interested in all the little things about it: the way that you hold you hands for baptizing, the font itself, etc. It was just so much fun watching them!..... I guess that all that interest and fascination turned to energy after we left though because they went off. That might be enough said!
I love the temple and always love the way that I feel after it. A big thanks to all of our leaders for putting up with us all and loving it all the while...most of the time :)

I think that It might be time for bed since I just said flink pamingos instead of pink flamingos to my mum!

I just crossed over to the dark side. I became a follower of my mother!!! You should become one too, because she is sitting there with a concussion and laughing over how cute my sister is with her new haircut. She isn't aloud to go to bed yet and she didn't get much sleep last night because Lyd wasn't doing well. So, come to the dark side with Finding the Fun.
